Charlotte and Ben’s Wedding – The Salwey Arms Shropshire

Charlotte and Ben got married last summer at a local church which is was just outside of  Tenbury wells near Burford gardens.  They had their wedding reception  at The Salwey Arms because it wasn’t too far away and you could have a marquee set up adjoining the pub.  The marquee was set up in the beer garden which is fantastic as there’s Dino’s bar set up in the beer garden.

Bridal prep

Charlotte got ready at her parents home with all of her family and bridesmaids, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. It was so much fun during the bridal prep, Charlotte was an absolute star as per usual.  She was cracking plenty of jokes with her lovely ladies.  Charlotte’s number one man came to see her for a couple of photos and that was Teddy her dog a beautiful schnoodle, I think I got that right!  The wedding party then jumped into a fancy wedding car to the ceremony. I left the bridal prep early to make my way to Burford so I could get some shots of the guests arriving and of course the groomsmen.

Wedding ceremony at Burford Church

During the wedding ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It really was a fun ceremony full of happy smiles and laughter, especially from Charlotte and Ben, they are always enjoying the moment.

After the ceremony the confetti was thrown outside Burford Church doors and friends and family took a short walk into the grounds of Burford garden’s. Charlotte works here part time so had permission to have pictures in the grounds which are absolutely stunning. I really do hope that Burford House start to hold more private events again. It’s such a fantastic location with plenty of photo opportunities.

Marquee wedding reception

The wedding reception was a short drive away, they had a drinks reception in the beer garden. They had decorated the venue with beautiful pastel colours and the marquee looked stunning. Before speeches and dinner they performed a traditional line up, meet and greet line as everyone entered the marquee.

Charlotte and Ben’s wedding was so much fun and such a laugh. Here’s their awesome wedding below!

Advice from the couple

The couple says that if you’re planning your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is don’t let other people influence what you want, lots of people have inputs on how your day should be, what you should have and who you should invite but at the end of the day all that matters is that the two of you are making a commitment to each other the rest is a bonus!
