Jessica and Steve got married at Hope Under Dinmore Church and went on to The Salwey Arms for their reception and then onto Ludlow Football Club for the evening reception.  I have to say I think this was the wettest day I have photographed a wedding so far, actually any wetter I think it would have been an under water wedding!

But arriving for the bridal preparations Jessica was in high spirits and was just really happy that it was her big day, the service was nice and early and I popped to Steve’s parents to do some family shots and then back to Jessica to get some finishing shots of the dress and flowers. With the church just being over the road from the bridal preparations I  stood waiting in the church doorway as it was pouring it down waiting for guests to arrive. I had a quick chat with the very nice vicar  to see what I was allowed to do during the service as this varies in different churches. I also mentioned that we may not be going for our walk around Queenswood Country Park, just 5 minutes drive away for pictures and I  may need to stay in the church for abit longer than usual after the service due to the rain.

Steve stood waiting patiently for Jessica to walk down the aisle.  After a lovely service, we checked outside and the weather wasn’t getting any better so I decided it was best to stay in the church and get all of the family pictures and also stay behind with Jessica and Steve for some pictures. After we made our way to The Salwey Arms which was my first reception here (but hopefully I will be getting much more work here now that I’m a recommended photographer for this venue).  So the first thing I did was head into the wedding breakfast reception room and quickly get some pictures before everyone arrived. I have to say The Salwey Arms did such a fantastic job and the attention to detail was awesome, just check out the pictures below.

I won’t go on too much but even on a very wet day we can still manage to get some amazing shots.  If you’re thinking of having an event or a wedding at The Salwey Arms then please get in touch for a chat.
