Ludlow castle wedding photography

I met up with Emma and William when they were planning their wedding. They were looking for someone who had experience of the local area and could produce some beautiful portraits. As a local guy, I specialise in Ludlow Castle wedding photography so I was really excited to be a part of their big day. They planned to have their ceremony at the castle, followed with a drinks and canapes reception.

Bridal preparation

The day started off just outside of Tenbury wells in Worcestershire, in small village called Burford. Emma was getting ready in a large holiday rental, which had plenty of space and a beautiful conservatory. Makeup was being done by Amy, from Riverside beauty – I always enjoy working with Amy and her team, so it was very nice to see her there!

CLIENT LOVE

“we were blown away by the standard of the photos – we love every one”

KIND WORDS

Wedding ceremony

After bridal prep, I headed to the castle to capture the arrival of the wedding guests. Will was looking very dapper indeed, as he waited for Emma. The ceremony was being held in the outdoor Round Chapel, just outside the castle, it had been dressed by Damson & vine florist, and looked beautiful.

You could really see Will light up with happiness when he saw Emma walking down the aisle – I love photographing those emotional moments in my signature documentary style. The ceremony and the reception afterwards were truly amazing, in the settings of the Chapel and the Castle grounds. Even the weather played ball for a change, it was a glorious day.

Garden wedding reception

Emma and Will made their way back to the family home in style, where they’d set up their garden for a marquee wedding reception. Everyone had a jolly good time. From laughter and tears at the speeches, to some pretty damn impressive moves on the dance floor!

This wedding was right up my street. Super relaxed and with a reception back at the family home, which I always love. Thanks Emma and Will, it was a pleasure to join you and capture your day!
