Marquee wedding
Planning a marquee wedding? Maybe you are having a marquee wedding reception in the family garden or a marquee on the farm? I just love being out in the countryside, surrounded by the Shropshire or Malvern hills.
Family farm wedding
Wherever you’re having your marquee wedding, I know it’s going to be an epic wedding. There’s something beautifully British about it. Farm weddings are right up my street, they are always fun, relaxed and full of guests ready to have a good time. Farmers work hard, so they party hard! I find the atmosphere in a marquee wedding means everyone is so much more relaxed, making it ideal for my style of documentary wedding photography.
Garden marquee wedding reception
From partying hard on the farm, to relaxing in a beautiful English country garden. You can enjoy canapes and champagne as you celebrate your marriage with the people who mean the most to you. Having that family connection makes a garden marquee wedding unique, and means you’ll have somewhere nearby to take a break and relax in a familiar environment.
Choose your own wedding suppliers
As more and more people are looking for a unique setting for their wedding day, marquee weddings are becoming much more popular. One reason for this is that you don’t need to worry about restrictions on which suppliers you can have. As long as your catering company can come to the marquee, then you’re on!
There’s no need to worry about the music annoying hotel guests, especially if your marquee wedding is on your family farm, or in a rural garden. Invite the neighbours! Closing times, licensing hours and corkage costs, none of that hassle.
Having full control over your wedding day means you can decide what suppliers you can have, and how long you party into the night. The only thing we can’t plan for, is the great British weather!
Marquee finishing touches
I love a good old marquee wedding. Especially when couples add those extra finishing touches that make the whole day unique and personal. I’m always amazed at how creative people can be with DIY décor, and there’s always a sense that creating the day has been an experience in itself. Getting married in a marquee in a unique, personal location also makes things extra special. Especially when it’s on family land, or in a place that means a lot to you.
Marquee wedding photographer
I’ve captured so many unique marquee weddings. Whether they’ve been on family land or a local farm, or even the village green. Capturing the personal details, things you’ve worked so hard to get right, is all part of what I do as a marquee wedding photographer. Homemade bunting, homemade jams and cakes, and even home-grown flower displays – it’s all part of what makes your day so special.
Whatever you have planned, whatever the weather, I’m sure you’ll have a glorious day, and I would love to be part of it. Get in touch to check my availability, and book your marquee wedding photographer today!
