Blists Hill Victorian Town wedding – Ironbridge Gorge Museum
Blists Hill Victorian town weddings take place in a recreated Victorian working town, at Ironbridge Gorge Museum, complete with shops, bank and (of course) a pub. Nestled at the bottom of the town you will find a traditional funfair in the summer, with a refreshment pavilion and Victorian tea room used for ceremonies just opposite.
Licensed for civil ceremonies, weddings at Ironbridge Gorge Museum are perfect for couples who want a vintage, alternative vibe to their day. Check out some photos from when I joined Natalie and Ian as their Blists Hill wedding photographer, and see how they made their day unique and memorable.
Weddings at Ironbridge Gorge Museum
Ironbridge Gorge Museum wedding ceremonies take place from 5pm, which is perfect for making the most of the long summer evenings and enjoying the funfair. Your guests will have access to the museum after it closes to the public too, so you can have a proper look around if you manage to drag yourself away from the awesome Victorian public house.
Whether you opt for holding your ceremony in the beamed tea room of The Forest Glen, or you fancy keeping it intimate with up to 40 guests at The New Inn pub – it’s a really cool, quirky place to have a wedding. The added bonus of the pub is that with dry and warm weather the beer garden is ideal for a couple of pre-wedding drinks too.
Coalbridgedale wedding photography
You might also consider having your wedding at Coalbridgedale, another part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum. There are so many unusual places for Coalbridgedale wedding photography, with a variety of potential backdrops across the 19th Century warehouses and factories. There are five different event spaces available for weddings of up to 300 guests, so there’s something for everyone, whatever you have planned.
Ironbridge Museum weddings
I love the variety on offer here, it gives you the chance to turn your wedding into a really unique experience for your guests. I won’t deny, it also gets me really excited about opportunities to include the structures and details in your Ironbridge Museum wedding photos!
