Claire and Bal’s March wedding
I joined Claire and Bal for their wedding on a slightly damp day in March. Unfortunately, due to bad weather an outdoor service was not on the cards, mother nature had other ideas! Instead, everything was moved inside, and they had an amazing day anyway.
I regularly work as a Delbury Hall wedding photographer, so I know there are still plenty of fantastic photo opportunities indoors. We also had some fun with outdoor shots in the rain, equipped with umbrellas and a sense of adventure!
Bridal preparations
I arrived nice and early for bridal preparation, where the girls were being made to look even more beautiful! They’d been joined by a friend who was a professional TV/film set makeup artist! After a nice relaxed morning, it was time for Claire and the girls to make their way to the wedding ceremony.
I headed over to the coach house where the service was being held on the mezzanine floor, as by now it was raining heavily. After the ceremony everyone went downstairs for welcome drinks and canapés. This gave me an ideal opportunity to capture some natural shots of the guests in my usual documentary style wedding photography. We also grabbed some family shots whilst everyone mingled.
Bride and Groom wedding portraits
I managed to persuade Claire and Bal to head over to the main house. It was raining pretty hard, so we couldn’t really go outside without getting completely soaked through! With the help of some amazing friends with umbrellas we made it through the rain, and it sure was worth it! We got some fantastic shots, and even managed to pop outside during a brief break in the weather.
This was another wonderful relaxed wedding at a brilliant venue. Claire and Bal looked amazing, and their guests all had an amazing time celebrating their marriage. Congrats you two!
