Castle wedding photography

I had the pleasure doing Holly and Kris’s Ludlow castle wedding photography on their big day last summer, right in the heart of Ludlow town centre. The rest of their day was just a short drive away, at Fishmore Hall Hotel.

Getting ready

Holly and Kris both got ready at Fishmore Hall on the morning of their wedding. Kris was hidden away in a room next door to Holly’s. I have to say they managed to avoid each other pretty well! I was busy capturing bridal preparations and details as Holly had her hair and makeup finished. Time swiftly passed us by, and it was soon time for the boys to make their way to the wedding ceremony on a vintage bus, hired from Boultons. Holly followed shortly after, in a classic Morris Minor.

Ludlow outdoor wedding ceremony

Holly and Kris exchanged their vows and rings in an outdoor ceremony, at the Round Chapel. The Round Chapel is pretty special, set in the heart of the castle. The weather was glorious, pure sunshine – so we made the most of it and captured some portraits of the new Mr and Mrs in the castle grounds, along with a really fun confetti shot!

Next, we headed just around the corner to their wedding reception at Fishmore Hall. I really enjoy Fishmore Hall wedding photography, and it’s just a stone’s throw away from some lovely viewpoints.

Wedding reception with Hawaiian shirts

After all the formal stuff was over, the groomsmen got changed into colourful Hawaiian shirts and shorts. The DJ definitely pulled it off, the wedding dance floor got crowded, and everyone was showing off their best dance moves.

A massive thank you to Holly and Kris for inviting me to photograph their wedding. It was a real pleasure and I have made two new friends.
