Blakelands country house wedding
Katy and Tom had a Blakelands country house wedding last Autumn. They took their vows outside in the Blakelands country house hotel garden. I got really excited about photographing at Blakelands country house hotel as it’s a very well known spot for weddings, shooting there really brought out the artist in me.
Katy began her day at Blakelands in the bridal suite. She had her hair and make up finished and I photographed the story as it developed throughout the day. Katy and Tom tied the knot in an emotional ceremony outdoors amongst family and friends. I couldn’t ask for a better job than being a wedding photographer, ceremonies like this it reminds me why I do what I do.
Country house hotel wedding
I always fall in love with fantastic Autumn weddings. The sun came out and shone all day which really lifted the light at the venue and meant we could all spend some time outdoors. After the ceremony, Katy and Tom spent time mingling with their family and friends before proceeding to the wedding breakfast. All the guests were cheerful and you could feel the joyful atmosphere at the reception. It was time for everyone to head in for the wedding breakfast, but first everyone lined up for the confetti and meet and greet line.
Staffordshire wedding
The guests were eager to hear what the speakers had to say. Photographing the speeches is a challenging part of the day because it’s all words so as a wedding photographer I have to do my best to tell the story of words in pictures. The wedding ended on a perfect note as the bride and groom showcased their dance moves on the dance floor.
Katy and Tom's wedding was such a fantastic day and I was buzzing by the time I left Blakelands country house hotel.
