Worcestershire marquee wedding

Abbi and Stuart had a Worcestershire marquee wedding reception, but they got married at St Laurence’s Church Ludlow. Being their wedding photographer in Worcestershire was a pleasant change as normally most of my weddings are Shropshire.

Today being the first of August would normally be fine, but it was also the day for the Tenbury show so the traffic was going to be really busy. I left extra early to make sure I wasn’t late and guess what! The roads were clear and I arrived half hour early.

This gave me a bit more time to have a look around the grounds and stroll down to the cricket pitch to see the marquee, well the actual batting area was marked off and away from the where the action would be taking place.  The Marquee looked absolutely stunning with lots of attention to detail and plenty of homemade features including the paper flower wall!

I returned back to the house where Abbi and the girls were being pampered by Amy from Riverside Beauty in Ludlow who always lifts everyone;s spirits and such a joy to work alongside.  She never fails to make everyone laugh and smile.  The groom Stuart was back in Ludlow and by the time I arrived at St Laurence’s Church , he and his grooms men were having a few pints in the Church Inn before making their way to church.  Abbi arrived in a white BMW followed by her bridesmaids.   After the wedding ceremony confetti was thrown outside the church gates followed by some portraits in the church grounds while everybody headed back to the marquee in Worcestershire.

The wedding reception backed on to Abbi’s dads hop field which was perfect for a stroll and backdrop for our one to one portrait shoot later that evening.  The wedding day went perfectly followed by some awesome speeches and some fun in the bouncy castle, followed by a hog roast supplied by  A. H. Griffiths Butchers in Ludlow.  I left everybody partying the night away just after Abbi and Stuart’s first dance.
