Delbury Hall wedding photographer
You’ll find this impressive Georgian mansion in Corvedale, between Much Wenlock and Ludlow, surrounded by 80 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland. Facing south across the water meadows towards Ludlow, (which is just 8 miles away) the Clee Hills and Wenlock Edge provide a stunning backdrop for Delbury Hall wedding photography.
The tastefully converted coach house and stables provide a dramatic space for wedding ceremonies and wedding breakfasts with up to 130 people, or 150 for evening celebrations. There’s also a mezzanine floor above the main hall, reached via a spectacular glass and oak staircase. The mezzanine itself has enough room for ceremonies with 100 guests, or it can be used as a quiet area for guests to sit and relax.
The mezzanine is a really great place for me to get a high angle shot of your wedding in the coach house, or an overview of your first dance and the evening party. It has French windows which lead to a balcony overlooking the carp pool, complete with an amazing floodlit water feature. All this glass in the windows, doors and skylights make the Coach House a light and airy space that can be decorated to suit your theme. The two enormous chandeliers also add a touch of rustic charm and luxury.
Bridal preparations at Delbury Hall
This lovely little building is just across the courtyard from the Coach House and is ideal for your bridal preparations. Move in here with your bride squad; relax with your family and friends as your hair and makeup artists get to work.
I love capturing bridal prep shots, there’s always a sense of anticipation and excitement – it’s time to enjoy yourself and let the celebrations begin. Pop open a bottle of fizz, get your wedding dress on, and take a moment to let it all sink in!
Outdoor wedding ceremony at Delbury Hall
As a really outdoorsy kinda guy, I’m a huge fan of outdoor wedding ceremonies at Delbury Hall! The gardens are stunning, with ornamental lakes, herbaceous borders and beautiful rose gardens. Outdoor ceremonies take place in the elegant pagoda in the garden, next to the lake and surrounded by pretty lawns. It’s a real treat, which gives me full flexibility to get some fantastic photographs as your Delbury Hall wedding photographer.
Your guests can relax with some prosecco and canapes as they explore the grounds and meet the flock of Muscovy ducks. We can also escape for a few moments to capture some portraits of you as newlyweds amongst the flowers and foliage, with Delbury Hall as a magnificent backdrop.
Church ceremony near Delbury Hall
If you are looking to have a church ceremony before your wedding reception at Delbury Hall, then St Peter's Church, Diddlebury, is just at the end of the garden. I’ve worked as a Delbury Hall wedding photographer so many times over the years, so I always look forward to seeing John Beesley who is the Vicar of this parish. John’s relaxed, chilled out manner is always refreshing, he knows how I work and trusts me to take brilliant images of your church wedding ceremony, without getting in the way.
Wedding photography at Delbury Hall
As a regular Delbury Hall wedding photographer, I’ve got lots of experience to make a plan whatever the weather or time of year. One of best things about Delbury Hall is how the gardens change throughout the seasons. I love to take my couples for portraits either 10 minutes before the wedding breakfast (while the guests are making their way into the coach house), or after the wedding breakfast when the light is often at its best.
If it rains on your big day then don’t worry! We have the choice of going into the main hall of Delbury if it's pouring down, and trust me, we can still capture some stunning images.
Wedding reception and speeches
This is where my signature documentary style wedding photography really shines. As you are celebrating with your guests, I’ll be getting amongst the crowd, capturing relaxed images of those emotional moments. From pouring the drinks to big hugs and laughter, you can forget I’m there and just enjoy yourselves.
